Role Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and organized Technical Product Owner to act as the execution hub for our engineering squads (Dev, QA, DevOps, and AI/ML).
In this role, you will play the role of a Product Owner in addition to running the scrum activities. You will be the person who ensures the "train keeps moving." You will manage the JIRA workflows, facilitate daily stand-ups, ensure dependencies are visible, and help the team meet the goals set by the Product Manager. This is a high-growth role perfect for someone who loves Agile processes and wants to build a career in deep-tech product management.
Key Responsibilities:
Execution & Process Management Facilitation:
- Run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Your goal is to keep meetings short, focused, and actionable.
- JIRA Hygiene: Maintain a pristine JIRA board. Ensure that every ticket has a clear status, assignee, and updated comments.
- You are responsible for the "administrative health" of the project. Unblocking Teams: Resolve and highlight blockers in a timely manner.
Backlog & Requirements Story Detailing:
- Work with the Product Manager to take high-level requirements and break them down into actionable User Stories for the developers.
- Acceptance Criteria: Ensure every story has clear "Acceptance Criteria" before a sprint starts. You act as the first line of quality control - checking if the delivered work matches the ticket description.
Sprint Goals:
- Help the team stay focused on the sprint goal, preventing scope creeping during the cycle.
PI Objectives:
- Guide the team during PI Planning to draft realistic objectives. You represent the team's capacity and push back against over-commitment to protect delivery quality.
Delivery Ownership:
- Take full accountability for the technical delivery of the team. You are the one who ensures the "Say/Do" ratio remains high, and that features are delivered on time for the PI release.
Risk Mitigation:
- Raise flags early to the RTE (Release Train Engineer) and Product Manager if technical blockers threaten the delivery timeline.
Collaboration & Team Spirit Dependency Tracking:
- Since we have different teams (AI, DevOps, Dev, QA), you will track and resolve cross-team dependencies
Team Morale:
- Maintain a positive, collaborative vibe. You are the person who brings energy to the calls and helps smooth over minor friction between team members.
Communication:
- Act as the primary relay between the engineering team and the Product Manager/RTE, ensuring status updates are accurate and timely.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner in a software company.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprints, Standups, Retros).
- Ability to understand the nuances of Cloud Infrastructure, APIs, and Data Pipelines
- You need to understand the dependencies well enough to know when a delay in one area impacts the whole release.
- Excellent verbal and written English. You will be writing release notes and reviewing the technical implementation docs, so clarity is key.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse personalities (from Data Scientists to DevOps Engineers) and resolve conflicts without escalation.
Good to have skills:
- Engineering or Computer Science background is a plus (help in understanding the DevOps/AI context).
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is highly preferred.
- Exposure to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is a bonus.
- Working knowledge and management on real-time data platforms and systems
