Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with expertise in React JS, Node JS, GraphQL, and SQL to lead our development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development sessions. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and expertise in software design, development, and best practices. Oversee the architecture and implementation of complex software solutions. Ensure the technical feasibility of product features and innovations.
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex web applications using React JS, Node JS, GraphQL, and SQL. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers. Drive best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
- Project Management: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. Create and maintain project plans, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of features and updates. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Front-End Development: Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React JS. Implement reusable components and front-end libraries. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Back-End Development: Design and develop scalable server-side applications using Node JS. Implement and maintain APIs using GraphQL. Integrate and manage data storage solutions using SQL databases.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality through automated testing and code reviews. Implement and enforce coding standards and best practices. Continuously improve the development process and tools.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Communicate technical concepts and project status to non-technical stakeholders. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trend.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Webpack, Babel, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on web technologies.
- Proven experience in a technical leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in React JS, Node JS, GraphQL, and SQL.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks.
- Strong understanding of server-side programming and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with database design and optimization.
